I've known Matt and Alyssa for many years now, they started off as wedding clients of mine, and through her love of photography, we've connected through mentorship as well! So when we first started planning a maternity session for Alyssa, I knew that I wanted to make it as special as possible! Because its January, and at the risk of poor weather, we chose a destination that would for sure have amazing landscapes, and if it was raining on the coast, we would have beautiful snow instead. Manning Park is about 2 hours outside of Vancouver, on your way to Princeton B.C. The resort itself sits just off the highway, and is super easy to access. We settled on a small lake just past the resort called Lighting Lake. Now this time of year it's frozen, over and it gave up the most amazing backdrops.
We hiked around in the snow, and Alyssa froze her butt of in a gown from #reclamationdesigncompany that I rented from #bobbypinscuriosities in downtown Chilliwack. We stuck pretty close to the lake, and ventured only slightly into a winter campground for a few photos. We had so much fun, and adventure is always on my to do list!
